Lovely image. The beautiful lighting from behind is so pleasant, while the front feathers remain clear. The little fuzz at the end of the bird's beak is great. You did a wonderful job with this! |

Stephen, the removal of the tiny shore lights is better as I found them to be distraction. Your last change here looks much better. The Wynn Bullock's image is beautiful - you're fortunate to have purchased a print directly from Bullock's daughter. |

My sister in law lives in Berkeley and yes. Berzerkley for sure. So called progress...it leaves much to be desired in some cases. In other cases it's downright criminal. |

I don't find it distracting at all! In fact I think it adds to the depth. |

When I applied the filter, the background naturally greyed out. I did try to eliminate the grey area but it didn't work very well. Odd the air plants were always rejected - they have some very interesting shapes. |

Your choice of converting this image to monochrome works well here. After converting, the horse looks as though it's turning. We have a similar show here with Florida Power and Light putting on quite a display at the botanical gardens. A southern tradition for sure. |

You did a nice job and I don't think the contrast is overdone. Although I know the image is straight, the way the silo (?) leans against the barn, the horizon on the right being lower than the left and the lower part of the roof not a straight line, the image has an odd feel to it. Your conversion to mono is a good choice and I do like it better than the color. |

Yosemite is one of my favorite places. I like your mono and color versions - both are inviting. The way you have composed the image encourages the viewer to go further in the woods and experience nature. I might consider cropping on the right up to the tree as I don't think the far right adds to the image, but that's minor. Overall, I think this is a serene image that makes me feel as though I'm there in the wood. |

Nicely done! The composition is pleasant and having Donny look into the light source is very successful. Your use of negative space is well done as is the tonal range, and of course he is tack sharp. I wouldn't change a thing. |
