I'm thinking the sky might be a bit too dark, but it does bring out the darkness thought of when one thinks of a castle. Amazing to think of the lives that once lived here over 600 years ago. |

It almost seems that there are two images here - the image with the wall and cactus alone, and then the mission bells. I like an anchor to my images as well so I can understand you keeping the cactus and wall in the image. I do think the wall gives the eye a hard stop. If the cactus has been taller and reached the top of the wall I think it would have brought the eye up and over the wall to the tower bells. |

I think this is a great image and agree with the prior comments. Darkening the background and bringing down the brightness on the shell man's shirt, beard and pants would be something I would try. I might also bump up the contrast just a bit. |

The image is interesting as the model and photographer both seem less than seasoned at a professional photo shoot. Her glasses and positioning are a lesson in how not to make the most of a shoot. I think you captured an interesting story - perhaps not the one you intended, but interesting just the same. |

I find the starkness appealing and that you changed the background from pure blue to black seems appropriate. Importing dark ominous clouds would have given the image more severe impact, but the pure black does work. |

The sky could be more cloud filled. I think when the cooler weather rolls around there will be much less humidity and the spectacular skies are more common. I've attached my color rendition which creates a whole different tone. |

I remember my father doing the same thing with the spark plugs. He had a special tool that he would put in the gap to make the gap the correct measurement.
When I tried to lighten the front it seemed very unnatural somehow. So I lightened it a little. |

You have some really good detail in the echinacea flower. I do see where the stacking had some challenges. I've had the same issue here and there so if you find out how to adjust the layers, let me know! I would take down the brightness in the dots in the center and the upper right as I find them distracting. There are some on the left lower corner, but they don't bother me as much. The green and red colors with the little hairs are a good capture. |

I love it! So often simple is better. The texture of the leaves is pleasant and the colors are great. I agree with Mark our visitor this month when he suggests cloning out the one small focus leaf. I might clone a bit off the left, but that's a subjective call. |

The flower's colors, chosen background and exposure is lovely, as is the clarity of the flower's veins. I'm not too sure of the white line coming down the length of the petal toward the bottom and I probably would have removed it.
As a side note I noticed some of the petals roll in and some roll out. If one were to follow Feng Shui, the rolling out would provide energy, rolling in would not. A flower conundrum! |

The heart shaped abdomens are really interesting and a good capture. I'm thinking that you might want to bring down the highlights as the Damselfly looks a bit bright. I applaud your motivation for insect shooting. Not a subject I enjoy - maybe I saw too many movies where they grew to absurd sizes and came after us! |

This an interesting take on the die. The only thing I might work on is the left lower corner on the front. To me, the brightness is a bit distracting as is the white spot in the black dot portion. Your choice of red makes a nice background and I find the overall concept interesting. |
