The expressions are terrific and each child's is different. I find the image a bit soft, but you had your challenges making the image bright when you were in a cave setting. Even in a dark room, the students look very happy to be there (although maybe not the little boy...)

I like how you've frozen the action here. The horse in mid-air and the girl's facial expression too which seems calm and confident. I agree that the reds and oranges are distracting in the color version, but I find the wires in both versions distracting. I think the mono version puts the focus more clearly on the horse and rider. |

Such happy expressions on the girls - makes me wonder where they're going that they're so happy. Angle of the bike is good and how you've frozen the action is well done. It looks so different than NY where it's strictly walking with plants everywhere. |

I think this works really well. Like Stephen, I too love when you can see every hair on the fur. It's as if I could reach out and feel the thickness around the neck. The only thing I would do is darken the area by the lion's right ear. Just that one spot as it almost looks as if there's a slight glow coming from behind.
The eye looks good. The lion has an interesting expression as if she's thinking about something in the distance. What lens did you use? |

Love the marbleized texture of the "Worthington jet". I can attest to it being no easy task to get that look. The dark top drop reminds me of a top hat. Went out to your web site and really enjoyed your drop images, particularly those that emanated a glowing effect. Both this image and those on your web site are very nicely done. |

The subject here is the bee - I think the flower is too soft to be the focal point. The giant pollen build up on the bee is amazing even though insects are just not my choice to photograph. I do think the top half of the bee is a bit soft. This bee looks like he rolled in the pollen. |

I loved this type of play when I was young. Had a whole group of little men and lots of matchbook cars. Trucks too.
Really clever use of a file folder! I think you were successful in bringing the soldiers to life. I like the plan of the two in front being focused while the others are blurred. I'm wondering how different the result would be if you took the shot just a bit lower, decreasing the angle. Might be interesting, yet you may have lost the story if each soldier wasn't quite as visible. Your manual blending is well done.

I like the subject matter. The little suitcase is so happy with its little stars. The reflection is nice as well. I might consider cloning out the yellow lights on the left side since they're cut off a bit. You captured the detail on the suitcase as well as the handle which is nicely done. |
