Hi Phyllis: An interesting idea photographing just a cross section of the Sunflower. Choice of background color fits the subject well. There is an imprint of your 6 blade lens aperture diaphragm in the violet background in the upper right, this would be easy to clone out. |

Hi Barbara: You have various degrees of shadows in the Rose petals from quite light to dark, but never black. Adding the white border was a good idea to establish the picture area from the black background of the webpage. I think the overall exposure is just right for this Rose portrait. |

Hi Alane: This Iguana picture is a perfect example of camouflage in nature. In a PSA International Nature exhibition, and if they had an Award for best camouflage in nature this picture would be in the final run off. The green on the Iguana's head is very close to some of the green colors in the plant. Lighting seems to be open sun, there are areas of shadows, however they still show detail. A fine nature image! |

Hi Neal: Very creative use of a mirror. You did some thinking on just how you needed to do this to achieve the finished picture. Your composition with the subject on a diagonal is well done.
All of the technical "stuff" is pretty well spot on, that is kind of your specialty. The orange border color matches the color of the insects back very well. KUDOS on an interesting presentation. |

Hi Richard: A nice close in portrait showing the colors of the bird at this time of the year. Good sharpness on the birds head and beak; perfect dark out of focus background supports the subject well. |
