Hi Everyone: You are 100% correct, I should have noticed that bolt head at the bottom right corner and it slipped by. Will fix that issue before I enter the picture into our club evaluation. Our sharp eyed evaluators would notice that situation right away. |

Hi Priscilla: I like the lighting, kind of a moody effect. To me the tulip looks okay either from the bottom left or lower right corner, I do think the leaf adds an interesting dimension to the picture, seems a bit ordinary without the leaf. Your use of the border works very well, exactly the right color for the tulip. The border helps separate the picture area from the black interface of our website. |

Hello Patrick: Very good placement of the Pond Lily in the frame; also the leaves support the flower very well. The alterations Lisa has added help the image, especially removing background distractions and that light sheen from the tops of the leaves. If you wanted to do more post processing work you could try toning down the light toned 'what ever' in the background at the left side of the frame to a little darker shade. It is a bit of an eye catcher and distracts from the beautiful lily flower. |

Hello Khai: To start out would like to say this is a very well done botanical image. Your composition using two subjects works very well, it really helps if one of the subjects is larger than the other, and you have accomplished that here. Excellent sharpness and texture on the flower buds makes the veining standout so very well; also your dark out of focus background supports the subjects well. If you chose to do more post processing work on this picture would suggest darkening down the light toned out of focus green leaves at the top of the frame, that would focus the viewers attention more on those very interesting flower buds. |

Hi Lisa: the color harmony is so very pleasing in this picture, the soft green background blends in so well with the light brown-tan color of the frog. This is a view we never see of a frog. The centered placement of the frog in this picture works perfectly, the rule of thirds does not always work for every situation and image. |

Hi Karen: The post processing work Lisa performed on the bolt image did improve the busy background especially the upper right corner area; also the added saturation deepened the colors. Reversing the image as Lisa has done with the bolt shaft on a bit of an angle adds some extra artistic value. Blue and Gold also works well together, I really like this kind of nuts and bolts photography. |

Hi Rosangela: Welcome to Group #63. Great cell phone capture, the cameras in cell phones keep improving with each new generation it seems. Composition wise I like both the original and reversed versions, each is strong in its own way. Lighting on the flower is very soft, no harsh shadows to distract; Your choice of background works very well and supports the flower. A very low key rendition I like very well. |
