Hi Lisa: Pleased you like the Blue Geranium picture. Regarding the leafy stem in the lower right; From a compositional standpoint I would probably leave it in place, as I think it kind of adds balance to what Priscilla refers to as the "little renegade" in the lower left. |

Hi Priscilla: Very interesting composition with a half circle at the bottom of the frame; then the spires of the seed head protruding out is also very interesting. The color palette to me represents fall tones, then the snow in the background adds an interesting backdrop to your picture. Technical quality is very good. Nice work!! |

Hi Patrick: You have achieved good detail and texture in the white flower petals in back, also you have very good sharpness in the central part of the flower. I have an appreciation for all of the post processing work you have done to create this monochrome version, and your effort is certainly okay. Seems just slightly dull white, you may want to experiment and add just a pinch of brightness. Your original has some possibilities with its color vibrancy too, hope you work on it. |

Hello Khai, If you look very closely at the orange and dark colored stamens in the central part of the blue flowers, they are tack sharp in detail. Due to the nature of the blue flower petals they do not show detail especially well, the colors kind of blend together. |

Hello Khai: A very well done flower picture in all aspects. Lighting is perfect for a white flower and exposure is spot on for white flower petals. The petals show good texture and detail that can be difficult to show in a white flower. The placement of the flower is good, slightly biased to the right side of the frame. Between the lower left petal and upper right petal a pleasant diagonal uplift is created. Good Work!! |

Hi Lisa: Exposure is dead on; you have placed the frog to the far left leaving a lot of space in front so it does not feel crowded in the frame. In my opinion the use of f/5.6 was not enough to totally cover the frog with good sharpness, the picture would be stronger if the read end of the frog was sharp. Hope you shot this scene at various F stops, am thinking f/11 or even f/16 would have produced a stronger picture. |

Hi Charles: Your flower has a nice soft mood, kind of a dreamy feeling. The background is very well done in keeping with the soft mood of the flower. The top of the flower went a bit too light in your processing and has lost some detail, the original shows good detail in the top of the flower. Not certain about the light blue color in the middle part of the background; in my opinion the blue color tones do not really fit in with the color tones of the rest of the scene. |
