Hi Priscilla, I love the way you shot this snow covered sunflower. The texture of the dead sunflower head is quite interesting and is enhanced by the layer of snow on top. I really like the image, well done. |

Hi Patrick,
You've done a nice job of converting the image to black and white. I agree with Murphy that the color image has a bit more punch between the light and dark areas and because of that I think it is a bit more dramatic than the converted black and white image. I would play with the black and white some more and see as Murphy suggests if you can get a bit more brightness in the black and white version. |

Murphy,
You always present wonderful flower images where the lighting and backgrounds need no adjustments. This is another excellent example of your beautiful flower work. |

Khia,
You did a wonderful job of exposing the flower. You also did an exceptional job of replacing the background. Very nice work. |

Hi Lisa,
I love the texture on the frog and circular tree rings running through the background. While the image is not entirely tack sharp I'm wondering if you intended to shoot it that way (keep the eye focused) and blur the competing textures? I like the angle you shot from and think if the right portion of the eye was in focus instead of the left side of the eye it might work better for the rest of the image being blurred. Cute frog. You find the best critters for macro shots. |

Hi Charles,
I think you've done a wonderful job of creating a painterly effect with your post processing. As Murphy stated your final image has a very soft mood. The top of the flower being lighter does not bother me like it does the others. I believe blending the background to remove the blue line the others have mentioned would help to enhance the finished image. I do find my eye drawn to the blue spots. |
