Hi Priscilla, I like your image of the Monarch. I would like to see the head of the Monarch a bit more in focus. The only other suggestion I would make is to clone the green background over the stalk/stem that protrude from the plant at the top. My eye is drawn to that spot on the frame. It looks like maybe you did do some cloning as it looks like you captured part of the Monarch's antenna. I just think a bit more cloning in that area would enhance the shot. Nice image. |

Murphy, your Autumn Motif is so appropriate for the season! I love the image and how the blurred background compliments the tack sharp fall leaves. I love how th leaves are transitioning from Green to Yellow to Red. Really wonderful image! |

Khia, This is a fantastic image of the Monarch on the Foxglove plant. I think you nailed. I see little if anything I would change in this image. Great shot! |

Hi Lisa. This is an excellent image. I'm glad to hear you were at approximately 800mm and not in close shooting the image. Even at a distance it would be hard for me to take this shoot; I'd be looking around to see if there were any friends slithering close. I think I prefer the original version to the Topaz version with the glow. I like the darker background versus the lighter one. The lighter background pulls my attention away from the head. Both versions are nice though. |

Charles, I think this is a splendid picture of the Dahlia. I agree with Murphy the lighting on the flower makes the center pop and then as the light falls off on the petals so too does the background. I think the softness you mention adds interest and really enhances this image. I was not bothered by the border but upon reading Murphy's comments I think he may be on to something. When I reviewed the image again after reading his comments my eye went straight to the border. |
