Hi Priscilla. Your image shimmer is very well done. The white petals have almost a velvety feel when you look at them. Your exposure choice displays the whites very well. The lighting on the flower is excellent. I like your choice of framing. Really nice image. |

Pat, sorry this should say your name not Murphy's. I do apologize of the typo. |

Murphy, I really like the thought you put into arranging the coins and showing the 1998 on each. The slant of the focused coins, along with your f-stop choice to create the blurred background of what I assume to be other coins really works well. I love the detail, crusty-look of the focused coin. What is the black spot to the right side of the focused coins? It almost looks like a photoshop adjustment of some sort (masking maybe?). If it is can you lower the opacity to make is less noticeable? |

Murphy, the colors of the "Agapanthus" are simply fantastic. The lighting and your use of the soft-gold reflector really enhance the blue color. Did you take this tropical flower on a trip to South Africa or was it taken at a local conservatory? Your framing is perfect and the out of focus background does create a soft mood. Truly beautiful. |

Hi Khia. Your "Sunflower" image is tack sharp. The colors are quite vivid. The lighting really enhances the detail in the sunflower head. I think you've created an excellent image. I like Murphy's suggestion to flip the image and give the eye a landing point on the left side of the image but as presented I also think the image is very impactful. Really nice shot. |

Hi, Lisa. Simply stunning!!!!! I love this image. Your focus is tack sharp. The colors of the insect and flower are vivid against your choice of the white background. Was the insect alive or dead when you photographed it resting on the flower head? Am I correct to assume you photographed one and then duplicated the image in Photoshop? I love the duplicity of the dueling bugs. Really fantastic image. |

Charles, I love the creativity that went into your final "Star Flower" image. The bottom petals remind of a whale's tail. The stamen's and the two petals protruding to the left and right of the stamen's create a water splash effect from the dive leaving the tail to follow. I'm not sure what that would mean if interpreting for a Rorschach test but I really like the image. I agree with Murphy's comments regarding the top petal. I think his suggestion would enhance the image. |
