Hi, Melissa.
The details that are revealed in this cicada's exoskeleton are interesting to me. To my eye, the contrast with the textures of the tree bark and revealing only two appendages of the exoskeleton seem to highlight it for me. Thank you for posting this one. |

Hi Jim.
The textures, color tones, and details of this beautifully focused image capture my attention. I do prefer seeing the details in the original and all of the leaf in the revised crop. The magnified effect of the raindrops further enhance the image for me.
Would you consider rotating the position of the leaf so that it appears somewhat at a diagonal to suggest a dynamic feel to the image. Perhaps this might work for the original?

Hi, Lori!
I agree that registering an image of a moving bee is challenging. This one reveals some fine details and I enjoy the dynamic feel that this image conveys to me. Thank you for posting it. |

Hi Robert,
Welcome to the group!
This is an interesting image to me which contrasts differences in texture, coloring, and size of the two blooms.
I, too, look forward to seeing more of your work and your comments on the images in our group. |

Hi Karen,
This suggests soft velvet petal textures and the freshness of raindrops to me. I can image the delightful fragrance of the gardenia bloom. I agree with Melissa about the pleasing composition. It is a treat to see this lovely gardenia image.
I enjoy seeing the well-defined focus on the curved edges of the upright petal, but wish the focus had been directed a bit more towards the center of the bloom. |

Ruth,
This image is so pleasing to me. The color values appear on point and the tack sharp focus revealing lovely feather textures truly enhance this image for me. The mirroring adds further interest for me. Than you for sharing this one! |

Hi Donald,
The painterly background bokeh in this image is so pleasing to me. I also agree with the enhancement that Bev has proposed. For me, this image conveys the lovely delicacy of the apple blossom.
I find the vignette helpful because it draws me into the frame, however the contrast from the background seems a bit obvious...would you consider feathering it? |

Hi John,
The center of the tree peony bloom appears tack sharp to me and I enjoy the contrast with the delicate petals. I agree with Bev, that the play of light is lovely.

Hi Bev,
I find the textures in this gorgeous Hibiscus to be beautiful. The background is so pleasing to me and enhances the vibrancy of the bloom, as it seems to pop.
Thank you for sharing this one. |
