6 May 25 Comment Hi Ruth, I think this is a well done close-up and the difference in background seems to enhance the visual depth in the image for me. Your focus on the details of the subject are tack sharp and the lighting reveals some beautiful textures to me.

I've been admiring your image because the lines and curves are interesting to me and held my attention. At first I didn't recognize it as coffee cup, but once my eye followed the curve of the handle I was able to realize what it was. I find it intriguing to see an image that is partially obscured and be able to visualize its whole. Great job!

I'm curious to learn, is the cup's handle is fashioned into an actual heart outline, perhaps red?

I enjoy the warmth of this lovely hibiscus bloom which seems to glow in the sunshine. For me the blurred background really makes it pop and adds to the vibrance of the image.

To me, the warmth of the colors and play of light in this image are lovely! The diagonal lines of flowers bordered by the red-tipped blooms at the bottom of the frame hold my interest and create an appealing picture for me.		 May 11th
