6 Apr 24 Comment Ruth,
Lovely outcome, I think, using light painting for this image as it enhances the emotive value for me.

You might consider adding a bit of back lighting to separate the subject from the background to a greater extent. Also adding to the time on the left shoe may convey more information on it's dimensionality.

Thanks for this great image. I admire what you've accomplished here!

6 Apr 24 Comment Hi Tom,

I agree that this is a wonderful image as it is interesting to me, and I admire the composition. I do like the bit of reflection in the water and do not find it distracting.

Damping some of the glare in the water, however, as others have mention may be worth exploring.

6 Apr 24 Comment Hi, Karen!
I admire the dreamy, painterly effect that you've conveyed in this photo.
The glow on the blooms seems magical to me. I think you've conveyed a sense of movement in the composition which enhances the interest for me . I am curious to learn which Lensbaby lens you used.

I agree with Ruth, about considering a slight crop from the left side.
Thanks for this lovely image!

24 Apr 24 Comment Hi Donald,
The lighting, color tones, textural details, and composition are so pleasing to me.

The small orange element in the bottom right of the image is only slightly distracting to me.

24 Apr 24 Comment Hi Fred,
To my eye, the elegance of the Easter Lily is beautifully captured. I do enjoy seeing the flower stem and the glow of the petals against the background.

Perhaps darkening the area around of the lily would further emphasize it.
Thanks for sharing this beauty.

24 Apr 24 Comment Hi Yvonne,
What a lovely Iris you've captured, but understand how challenging the background must have been.

I agree with the suggestions to apply a square crop.

24 Apr 24 Comment Hi Pinaki,

I'm learning to appreciate soft, dreamy flower images. This one is interesting to me because it reveals a sense of beauty found in a mature flower, with highly textured petals.

I think that Bev's modifications to the vibrance of the background enhances the image for me.

To my eye this is a wonderful B&W, high-key image that draws me in to the center of the rose and conveys an emotive value to a greater extent than that of the full-color image. Thanks for sharing this beauty!
