6 Nov 23 Comment Happy Thanksgiving, Karen. Thanks for sharing this creative image. I find it very interesting and am curious to learn about your set up. What was the glossy black surface? Did you use two leaves or are we seeing the effect of a reflection? Thanks for any further information. Nov 23rd
6 Nov 23 Comment Hi, Jim! Happy Thanksgiving.
Thanks for sharing this interesting, story telling image. I'm thinking that it represents machine knitting. I like the composition as it draws me into the image. The lower part of the image is a bit distracting. Would you consider cropping a bit more off the bottom?

24 Nov 23 Comment Happy Thanksgiving, Yvonne!
I like the tonality captured in the purple blooms. I also agree that Frank's suggested crop enhances this image. I wish more bees would cooperate to show their face.

24 Nov 23 Comment Happy Thanksgiving, Bev! The contrast and vibrancy of this image draws my attention. I'm curious to learn more about the background and if the flowers were real. Thanks for any information. Nov 23rd

24 Nov 23 Comment Hi, Frank!
I've been admiring your image. To my eye, the opacity of the background appears so natural that I would not have guessed that the image was captured indoors. I enjoy studying the delicate mauve hues of this clematis and the rich details in the textures of its six tepals. The large numbers of stamens with feather-like projections and the shapes of the centered upper and lower tepals suggest the bloom is likely at a mature stage. For me the image conveys a sense of true beauty in an aging flower.
I'm curious about the lighting and set-up used. Thanks for any information on this.
