Oh! I agree your example illustrates your point about a region of high contrast and directing the viewer's attention, especially in a detailed pattern short. Thank you! This is so helpful to me.

This tight crop is so appealing to me, and the bright colors and location of the birds eye in the frame are real strengths. I think showing the Macaw's natural behavior adds to the interest. Thanks for a great image!

The vibrant colors and various textures in this image are wonderful.
My eye, however, is drawn to the leading lines of the fence shadows against the bright background of the walkway. I, too, wish there was an element of interest at the lookout point, where the lines break/end. |

The rich textures in the clouds and on the face of the mountain capture my attention.

This is superb! I love the composition and crisp focus. The reflections are a treat to my eye! Getting down low into that uncomfortable position was well worth it. Thank for sharing this great image.
