Welcome to the group, Evan!
Those jagged edges look threatening and the red stains reinforce a sense of danger that this image conveys to me. The geometrical patterns capture my interest, and the highlights reflected off the edges of the wire draw my eye.
I'd like to see increased tonal contrast between the background of wooden planks and the wire roll. It may be worth trying to darken (burn)the wood and further reduce its brightness.

I find this to be a wonderful dramatic capture. Bravo!
Larry's sample draws my eye and seems to strengthen the composition for me. What do you think?

The textures and details in this image are interesting to me. I find the color harmonies and wonderful contrasts pleasing. The sharp focus on the eye holds my attention and makes me wonder what interests the Iguana outside of the frame.
I know how difficult it is to get these types of shots. I do wish the whole lower claw were visible. Also, it would great to capture some Iguana specific behavior.

What an interesting find! When I first admired the image, I found the uncorrected perspective engaging because it seemed to fit my idea of an interesting 'old door'.
I must admit that Arun's crop and increased use of contrast work well in this image. What do you think?
Best wishes to you, Eleanor. |

I enjoy seeing this dramatic monochrome because the lines fascinate me and the perspective is so unusual. The use of negative space and the tight crop are pleasing to me. |

The contrast between the misty softness and vivid colors capture my interest and suggest a dream-like quality to me.
To my eye this is simply beautiful and I would gladly hang this on my wall. |
