Happy 4th of July. I do not why the faces of the children seem soft because you used F.11 and the lettering is sharp.

My eye keep focusing on the door as the main subject. It was a difficult situation and you did a good job of getting the story of an old mansion still in its glory. |

Well done. I love panning shots because they convey so much more information that a still photo. It was a bright sunny day and your focus was spot on. I agree that Michael's re-processing of the photo did enhance the over all photo. |

It is a beautiful and enduring photo. I was taken back when I first saw it. All the hard work and skill you put in to creating it shows what is possible by a artistic photographer.
You should enter it in competition.

Interesting. Is it possible to over crop? I find the lack of a straight edge on the black line, including the x line on side of the boat bothersome.
I just me. |

I think your butterfly is right on in sharpness and color.
The back ground highlights the focus to the butterfly.
Michael's crop is a stronger arrangement.
I wish I could get the butterfly around my house to sit still like your did.

Yes I took the shot through the bars because the gate was locked. I could not see the "pool" area.
I only did some cropping and little intensity to get the pink darker.
I left the pool fixtures to emphasis the pool setting. |
