The reason for F16 is I wanted the body and tail in focus.
I did reduce the highlights in the background area. When I pushed it to much it did not look right. I normally shoot in AV at F8 to start with and an ISO of 400.
The radical crop is interesting but the face is to dark.
I like showing the surrounding environment when I do animals.
Thanks for the comments. |

Good capture. I would like the eagle face sharpened. It is a little our of focus. |

I have never seen a split screen image. Interesting. I think I will try and find a situation where a split screen would work.
Did you try and increase the lighting on the left side to bring out the couple? Then decrease the street light.
Thanks for the idea. |

I do like butterfly photos. There is Butterfly World just down the street.
I do like some of the adjustments LuAnn and Michael offered.
I think the orange is over saturated, all must to point of distraction. The butterflies I have seen have a softer orange and softer blacks. It could be a function of were they are live. |

Seeing the trees on the left straighten surprised me. It was not really obvious to me, it seemed natural to the setting.
But when I saw the correction it did make a difference for the better.
I agree with LuAnn that the color of the shirt is the creators choice. What is the message she wants to convey.
Well done photo. |

Sorry but I agree that the B/W just not work well.
Both the color and the B/W images are very flat. I do not know how to correct for that. |

I agree this is a superior photo and can be entered in any completion. The lighting is what drew my attention. Like Kieu-Hanu I thought it must be at a dark time. Noon up north is something that I did not consider. By my question still remains. How did bottom of the bird get so well light. Even the orange in the tails feathers pop out. I like the bird on the left side. |
