Based on the mans expression and posture, the next time you photograph him the lady in red will not be there.
Question for LuAnn, "I shot Fuji cannot use Lightroom." Why?
Is the Fuji you use slide film?
I vote to keep the archway. It gives a location and structure for the story to unfold. |

Welcome Fatih to our group. I love the photo. It tells a simple story in a straight forward manner. |

I remember at one time you said you had PS. I have been told one of the things you can do is change back grounds. My only suggestion would change the sky to a nice blue. It would take some of the brightness out of the photo and add some color contrast.
I agree with LuAnn that one should always carry at less a polarizer. It would help to keep the water from being over exposed. |

The power of the modern photo editing programs is demonstrated by all the photos this month. Your B/W rework of the original make me awed.
I had my own darkroom back in the 70s when every thing was B/W. There is no way that what you did could have been done back then. What great skill you showed in processing the color to B/W. I have done many B/W shadow photos, but I started with B/W film and it took me hours in the darkroom.
I have Lightroom 6 and have converted color photos to B/W but not well as what you produced.

To go from the original to the finished product is quite a statement of your photographic skills.
I do agree with Oliver that a little more space below the canoe does seem to help the whole photo.
