Good choices, Mike. My focus in on the birds and their beautiful feathers. The soft green background compliments the colors of the feathers, and eyes have good light in them. It took me several views to figure out that the body of the bird on the right is behind the flower. Is that correct? If so, you need the flower or it would look like a problem with the hummingbird's body. |

What a lovely tree. I thought it is a dogwood as well. I like the diagonal lines of your branch. Your flowers are clear. My suggestion is to lower the whites and highlights so they are not as bright. |

I like the sunlight that shines on the willet's back and legs. I like that the willet is in action digging something from the sand. The willet is strong enough to carry the image. I would suggest cropping the waves about where the water breaks. This gives an even more diagonal feel to the willet's back, and makes me notice the sunlight even more. |

The light on the mountains is magical as is the light on the trees. I like how you have processed both. I think there is a lot of real estate in your sky which competes with the star of your image, the land. I also think a crop on the right would bring more attention to the mountains. |

The eyes caught my attention as soon as I opened this. Even cropped as much as this has been the Harrier is tack sharp. The bottom bright soft grass catches my attention, and the grass above the harrier is not important. I think a tighter crop, keeping your same aspect ratio would work well. |

Your processing works. The water is much more clear and you beautifully brought out the oranges. The water droplets add to the image and are clear. Over the years I have learned from you and the group to get the eye/eyes. The swan is turned away from you too much for you to have gotten that. If you had been more to the right or the swan had turned more to the right, the image would have been stronger. |

I tried your crop but felt it left out something. I tried a different one liked some of the land in the image. I like that it gives a better direction of from where the water is flowing.
I wanted a fast speed because the water was flowing swiftly. Would you have used a slower speed to get some of the detain? I see what you saw in some white areas of water. |
