What I like so very well is the great movement of the wing while the body and face are so clear. The feathers under the neck look like rope and bring me in to look carefully at them. The eye is clear and captures attention but one or two clicks brighter would be nice. Finally, I would remove the white line under the feet.
Well done with great photo talent. |

How very well you brought focus to this small leaf hopper. I like that you flipped it and kept it sharp. The only thing I suggest is bringing more texture and less blur to the left side of the rock. |

Nice and sharp. Would you consider lowering the saturation only on the background. I think that brings the bird more to view. |

I married into the Auerbach family. My husband does not know that name. |

Thank you all for suggestions. I am playing with some of them.
The sepia and crop suggestions might work. I like context in a nature picture so don't think I want to blur this particular background. However, I may tone it down another way.
Hearing suggestions always gives us room for new ideas. |

I know I needed to be lower. I did not have my tripod and have arthritis and shaky hand holding experiences. I leaned on the lowest rock that would help me. I do have NIK. Do you have a favorite tool for sharpening? |

I like your scene and the warm up. The warmer colors bring out texture in the rocks which make them more noticeable. I like the drama of the sky. You were given a great moment to capture. |

How large was the hole that you cut. This created a lovely image with softness and clarity, each where they needed to be. It is interesting that the wrap gave such a good vignette. |

What a wonderful morning and shot. I like how you have treated it although I agree with Ally that the moon could be less prominent. What I especially like is the clarity and color of the foreground grasses.
The mist seems too deep right where the large green tree sits in the middle. I'd like to see a touch of the trunk so the tree does not float in the air. The mist does not seem so strong as to cover it as much as it does.
This would make a lovely wrap, note card, wall print. |
