Well done. I like the bird pictures that some in this group are able to catch. This is an especially good capture. I like that you turned the hawk so it is flying left to right. The crop is strong, and the diagonal adds to the total. I think the colors of the original hawk are richer than your processed image. I would leave them as is. |

I like how you took care of the blurred pod. My eyes did rest on them when I looked at the original. I also like the white vignette. It blurs some of the imperfect leaves. I agree that removing dead areas would improve the image. One more thing that would improve it would be to add back the leaf just under the pod that you fixed.

The colors pull me into this picture, and the eye keeps me there. The thorns add to the story. Very well done.
I see what Mike mentioned about more space on the right side. That would add to the picture. |

I think this was Valley View Acres Farm in western Maryland. |

Your composition is good, and the image is clear. Your platy pod worked for you along with the delay. I like how you have treated the image although the colors are a bit saturated. I would tone them down. |

Your processing is wonderful especially comparing it to the darker original. I especially like how you have treated the background. This would make a lovely note card.
Sharon, which program do you use to select and mask the subject? |

I like your treatment of the center. I knew it needed help but couldn't make it work. As for the crop, it is a bit too tight for me because I like the shape of the second leaf. I would take your suggestion, though, and make it a vertical crop leaving more of the second leaf and less of the bigger one. I also like your treatment of the petals.
Thank you
