I did think of turning the image but this is scientifically correct as the cicada emerges. |

The feathers in your image are sharp and very well colored. Your processing brought out the colors beautifully. Next, I am drawn to the face. I like the eye treatment but for me, the bill is a bit too saturated and competes with the eye. I would like to see a bit less gold. Your crop is a good one pulling my attention to what is important. You removed the ducks in a natural way. Well done. |

I find the image quite interesting. I've not seen this area. The flowers help give scale to the image. And cropped in tight, part of it could be an interesting abstract image. What is actually growing on the hills? Is vegetation or rock? Your treatment draws my interest into the scene, and I want to know more. |

Ally, I like the back lighting of the image, and agree that the light in the sky could be lowered. The golden water is soothing, and the grass lends interest. You might have chosen to leave the elephant dark; however I selected it as the subject then masked it was able to use a levels layer to raise the shadows and see the elephant. That is a personal choice, of course. |

Great shot of action. I like the landing. The bird's colors are natural, and inviting. The water droplets are OK with me, however, if you removed them, it might put focus on the bird. I also think darkening the background as well as the structure of the bird bath will make the bird pop. |

A sweet shot of the Chickadee. The diagonal branch adds to the capture. I think a tighter crop would put more emphasis on the bird. It is small so the background competes. I like how you processed the background for color. The warm colors add to the color of the Chickadee. And yes, DeNoise would help the image. |

It has been fascinating! I have loved watching these gentle creatures appear everywhere. They do no harm. Some are put off by their flying around but I enjoy them. I'm glad to experience this once every 17 years event of nature.
