The pelican is clear with good texture. The time of day gave you a challenge. I noticed Sharon's idea for smoothing the glare on the water. Treating the glare would add to this image. It is frustrating when our images have good texture but the sun is too powerful to show them well. |

What a great opportunity to capture this face. Your treatment is well done, the rich color has been brought out. Depending on how you view cloning, I'd suggest leaving a bit more background over the head. If necessary, you can clone out the twigs. I also suggest leaving only a bit more of the log at the bottom. |

Your crop is a good one which brings my eye into the storm. The tree adds interest to the image. I like the blue sky which also gives me interest.
I wonder if you could pull more texture from the clouds? If not, the images is strong as is. |

I like your crop as well as Mike's. Your crop gives a different story of an old guy who has managed to survive, as proven by the wounds. I like the clearing in the background which shows the antlers well. Your settings are spot on but I seem to repeat what others have said. Next month I won't be so late in reporting! |

Judith, I like the ideas presented by Sharon. The tighter crop and vignette focus on the flower's pretty colors.
I looked twice then enjoyed the water drops which magnify the leaf. |

I like the image as you have presented it. I do like the ripples. They add to the story. I know where this strong bird is headed, and what it wants down there. Well done. |

I was not sure about the light differences in the water and appreciate what you suggested.
Your crop is a bit too tight at the top for me. However cloning would have helped remove some of the top distractions. I think my answer is somewhere in the middle.
Thank you for suggestions. |
