And you are correct. I mentioned the webs only because I blew it up to look at it for a critique. It stands on its merit as a fine image. |

I should remember to give the settings as I always appreciate others' and just asked Vinoth for his.
Settings: Canon EOS-R; Canon 24-105 @91mm; f/4.0; Aperture priority; spot metering;1/500; tripod mounted
Your suggestion to blur the background is a good one. I did use the smallest aperture for this lens and could blur in post process. Thank you for the idea.

Hi Ally, Welcome to our group.
Your image is fun and interesting. The colors are pleasing. You got great detail in the grasshopper. I suggest dodging the eye a bit to bring out the white. I like your crop but I also tried going in even closer and cropping just before the soft lower bud. Although it cuts out some of the flower it places a strong focus on the grasshopper. I look forward to more images from you.

The golden hour worked for this image. The colors are warm and soft. I like your bokeh. I would suggest leaving a bit more room at the top of the top leaf. |

Vinoth, your image is grand. As Mike said, it is tack sharp. Your background is peaceful, well blurred, and yields to the main subject. When I opened the image, it was interesting to see the sharp claws wrapped in the branches of the trees. Each part of your composition is balanced and necessary to the whole. In the future I would like to know the settings your use for capturing images. |

Your composition works for me. The fields are wonderfully colored, and the path takes me through the fields. In my opinion your sky is bit too strongly processed. While pretty and dramatic, it doesn't seem quite natural to me. I would suggest toning down the colors just a bit. |

I like the angle of the flower and leaves. The background leaves resemble the flower. The colors work well providing great contrast. You cropped to feature what is important although I think a bit more space on each side would be good for the leaves. I don't know if you noticed but there are cob webs on the top yellow flowers. I noticed when I enlarged the image to look at it. A lovely image. |

Mike, I kept looking back and forth from the original to the finished product, possibly 5 times. Each time when I looked at your post process it looked blurred. Did you try to add blur? The cool tones seem natural and inviting; however the warm tones are a bit strong.
The sky is fabulous in both pre and post. As always you have good composition. This is the type of place that pleases me. We are off to Glade Grist Mill in WV as soon as it is safe to travel.

This is my first look/see, and I'm not commenting. However, I'd like to know where this is? I've long wanted to see Glade Grist Mill in Babcock State Park, WV. |
