Hmm. I hear you and am reminded of this when judges ask what is the star of the image? However, as I walked past this massive amount of branches I was overwhelmed with what might be the history of this huge tree. The flowers around it added the feeling of spring. The whole image reminded me of the power of nature. I want to convey that and would not know what to omit. |

Your crocus has good color and is sharp. Thank goodness for these delights of spring. I agree that your background could be darkened to give more attention to the crocus. You might blend the background and shadow to come to a close color range. |

I smiled when I saw this and thought the Roseate is saying, "This too shall pass!" You can tell I have been quarantined a bit too long.
I also like the original coloring better, I like that you added some space below the feet. I notice that the face is sharp but the wings are too blurred, obviously with motion. I would look for ways to focus more on the face of the roseate. Your usual bird images have more stability in the wing spans. My attention goes there before it goes to the face.

As always sharp and clear. The eyes draw me into the image but the fish keeps it there. I am often curious in a shot like this - where are you in relation to the bird? Are you seated on the ground, standing in the water? You often get eye level images with sharp features. |

I like your background. It compliments the eagle rather than contrasts as would a bright blue sky. Your eagle is sharp with strong color. The diagonal position to the canvas adds to the interest of the story.
Well done. |

What a capture you have. Not only do you have a clear subject but the water is a perfect background. I am impressed with how clearly you were able to capture the tentacles. There does not seem to be sediment. You have a beautiful image.
Could you tell me the reason one buys that lens, the 17-28? I don't know anyone who uses it so wonder if it is often used for a particular purpose? |

Sharon, your image has good composure as the water leads me around. I like the varied colors of your scene, the greens of new growth; the reds and yellows of the back ground. The rushing waters give excitement, and then the lower waters give me calm. The sunlight in the bottom left gives warmth to the whole.
In my opinion your green branches on the left are a bit too saturated, as are the blues of the right ledge. My attention goes back and forth between them after I settle on the waterfall. Just above the center of the waterfall is a red spot. I enlarged the image and think it is a red bird. If this is not for PSA nature, I would suggest removing it.

Sharon, I am going to the backyard today to play with your suggestions for flowers. I'm glad you added them. |

Sharon, do you mean darken some of the darker branches and lighten some of the others? There are so very many which is what drew me to the tree. Please give me a bit more detail in your suggestion. |
