Thank you for your suggestions. I do like Mike's crop because it brings attention to the flowers and trees; yet I like my sky. It becomes a win/win opinion.
Sharon, your version on my screen seems noisy. It feels a bit over processed.
I do like the end result and am happy with my image.

Yes, I like this version. The branch did not bother me but since you removed it I seen how much better the image is.
Nice final product. |

What great drama is in this shot. I'd like to know how you shot it. You have shot in this location before, I think but even so, this is quite original. Great drama, nature, colors, as well as great post processing. |

What a lovely, positive image, Tom. I like the whole of you picture. I cannot tell if you were shooting low or the plants are high. The sky peeks through and has just the right amount of color to it. I do like this. The one thing I notice is that just below your name is one and only one blurred flower. One more tiny crop will take it out. I would not even notice if your name were not near it. |

What a fun shot, John. It takes patience to get it. I think your sky is too saturated for the shot. A lighter blue would pull my attention away from the sky which, in my opinion, competes with the bird. Additionally, there is chromatic aberration in the final result. I would rather concentrate on the cormorant which is well posed and interesting. |

Your shot is quite pleasing to my eye. What first strikes me are the wonderful myriad lines. There are lines of texture, of flowing sand, of light. The colors seem true, and I find new things to notice each time I look at it. When I opened it full scale I saw the texture of the sand on the floor. It doesn't show well in the online image. I think more texture and detail is there to be coaxed. I played with levels and then took it back to Bridge and upped the clarity. Each of us has different ways of doing things but my suggestion would be to coax more texture from your sand on the floor. |

Sharon, what a powerful and enormous vision of nature. I especially like the curved lines that take me into the canyon and beyond. When I first opened your image, I wondered if it was HDR. I don't use it, don't know a lot about it, and thus am reticent to offer suggestions. However, Tom's version seems more natural. That one bit of change makes a difference to me. |
