Thank you for your input. I do like the small left ball and wondered what opinionns would be when I decided to keep it in the image. I like the idea of raising shadows/highlights in the whites. |

Your May image reminded me of Sharon's image from April in that it gave me the same calm feeling when I first viewed it. I like the simplicity of the tree. The clouds add interest to the sky as they meet the treetop. The sun's shining through is soft and natural, something often hard to achieve. I like birds in general so I do like this one. It is a surprise find as I look over the image. I wonder if the settings you would have used would have given you a lighter tree. For me it is a bit too dark. |

Wow, this is a second look required shot. Not only must I look again at the fish eye, the mother's eyes grab my attention and hold it for a second longer. Artistically the sky works for many but for me it is competitive with all that is happening with the ospreys. I would take down the blue a bit. |

A good catch for both the osprey and you. I like the water dropping from the fish and the composition in general. The wings lead your eye to the face and are well placed in the crop. I would suggest adding a bit of pop to the eyes of the osprey. |

I like this image. There are so many things going on which are defined by myriad colors. The landscape is sharp, and I like all the different leading lines. The sky is a grand and natural color, and the clouds add just enough to give me a feeling of ease.
I don't think it too yellow; however I've read and found that reflections are usually darker than the object being reflected. Did you lighten the water? I'd suggest taking it down a small bit. Well done, Carol.

I like the way you have handled this problem; I like the leaves to the left of the egrets as they add to the nature story. The leaves at the bottom are a bit too blurred for my taste and take away from the image. The egrets are sharp, and the babies make a good story. I have copied your steps to try on some of my former images from High Island. I think I would try to leave the background a bit lighter than you did. |

This is a fun shot. I like the snow and gray areas that make the whole image look artistic and chilly. What a good neutral background for the colorful red breast. This is a fun image which I like.
I tried a dark vignette but decided I liked your white one better. The white keeps the wintery feeling about the image. |
