I did a quick job using the PS spot healing brush although Mike may suggest something different. As I said, each of us has a different opinion of science/art. You should be true to yourself even if we make other suggestions. I like the idea of both - one for documentation and the other for art.
Nonetheless I like this image. Bullfrogs are fun to photograph. |

I had a good laugh at this image because the tree to which the spoonbill is flying looks like an animal with its mouth open. I like the composition quite well. Is there a way to further blur the right background as you have the left background? I would also suggest a bit more contrast in the brown tree and the spoonbill pink feathers to separate them from the rest of the image. |

There are so many layers of texture to like in this image. You hit it spot on with clarity and structure. The eyes catch my attention first because the light is so good, and then I look carefully at each other aspect of the image. In post processing you managed to pull good color and contrast from the original. Very well done. |

Good post processing in that you added light to a dark image. In this picture I think the main story is the vegetation on the main tree trunk which has fallen on the ground. I think the growth on the forest floor competes too much with this and suggest lowering levels only on this part. It gives weight and importance to the big trunk with the growth on it. |

I like seeing the original because I can appreciate the changes you made which enhance this lovely shot. Your sky is a natural blue, the lake is calm and draws me into it. Shadows/structure in the snow are strong, and the trees pull my attention in and around your image. I think your post processing is very well done. In my opinion the grasses, center bottom, do not add to the image. I suggest cropping just where the yellow ends and the green of those grasses begins. I think it gives greater interest to the rest of the image. |

My eye goes to that grand stack and from there to the buck's eye and face. Well captured. The processing is strong. I think you have captured his body quite well. The background has a great bokeh. I wonder if you could rework the grass to add a bit more structure and color to it? For me it is a bit bright. Otherwise this is a strong image. |

That fun reflection caught my attention immediately. The catch light in both eyes is strong, the colors of the image are pretty. PSA rules demand that we do not change what is captured, and in this group we each have our own opinions about it. If competing you cannot remove; however in this group you can. Having said that I suggest using the spot healing brush to remove all the debris from the water so that my focus is solely on the frog. I do like that one big water droplet to the right of the frog and would leave that. |

We were in Chincoteague VA in November with a photo group. It was a good weekend but I think I would not return.
