Yes, "if it really happened". There are really a lot of save guards so such a close miss doesn't happen. Planes fly at different altitudes going east and west as far as I know. I think this kind of military plane actually is a high altitude super sonic plane and would never be in the commercial lanes. My brother told me that the in plane safety radar is really quite good for avoiding close calls like this. Thanks for the comments. |

Sounds like you got another interesting camera (16MP 3D !!). It takes great pictures and would be good for close ups. -- A different topic, As you might have already read my comment on Mohanan's image and how I wonder if my monitor is adjusted right -- well on my monitor, this image looks real good for contrast and exposure. There are dark areas and a bright sidewalk. I adjusted my monitor to have a gamma of 0.7 and Mohanan's image looked pretty good, but all the others were too dark. I set my monitor to a gamma of 1.5 and every image looked over exposed. All these images look best with a gamma of 1.0 - some lighter and some darker. Any comments would be appreciated. |

Brian, Yes, I know what you mean, I've been looking at a lot of old 3D images during my travel restrictions as well. This is an inviting image to make me want to visit Italy some day. I like how the dark house on the left starts my view and invites me to look down the alley and eventually end up at the green veranda on the right. Can't miss the boat either. Great image. |

Nick, That's a real good depth map conversion. When I look at it, I see all the people in front, the landscape with obvious depth, Old Faithfull, the far mountains, and the sky and clouds all in good position in depth. I had to look real close using my 3D monitor, shutter glasses and SPM to see anything to comment on. Several of the heads seem to be too far back from the person's body. The shadowed guy kneeling down in the center right seems to be flat with the background around him. These things are little things and like I said before, it's a good 3D conversion. |

Mohanan, Great image with scenic and people interest value. Good depth, but the only thing I can comment on is cut off legs on the bottom and no clouds in a blue sky. I had to dig down deep to comment on those 2 things as the image IS a good people story. One thing I'd like to ask you or any other that might want to comment is; you say that you adjusted levels, saturation and shadows in PS. When I look at it with my monitor, it looks a little unsaturated and a little over exposed. My monitor is a new monitor and I wonder if your is fine and the image's appearance is caused by my monitor being "unsaturated and over exposed"? |
