Steve, this was done a long time ago. I looked at in SPM on my 3D monitor where I can zoom in and look at it in great detail. His eyes are deeper and his nose is out. If you can look at it in real fine detail, you can see where I moved his nose up (just to the right of his nose) and even if you look at the depth of his cheek just to the left of his mouth, I think it's to deep. Generally, if I do a real quick 2D-3D conversion of a person I don't do much with these kind of small details. If the face is just flat then our natural understanding of a person's face will make it look like 3D. Another problem in doing a 2D-3D conversion is what happens when you move something just 1 pixel. 1 pixel might be too much. Feathering the edges of the moved layers helps some but up scaling the image so 1 pixel does less helps more. |

I left a brief description how I do 2D-3D conversion with my Musical Gnomes in the December round. For this one I made a copy of Lincoln only so I had left and right views. All in the right view only, (using the a new layer in PS) I warped the right side of his head to the right that made it appear behind. With another layer in PS, I warped the left side of his head to the right to make that appear behind. I made a layer of his nose and moved that to the left which made his nose appear out. I did the tie, neck and beard the same way. I then re-sized the left and right 2D - 3D images and pasted them on the image of the $5 bill. Of course there were a lot more little adjustments but that is basically how it's done. I had to copy the modified images to SPM to see exactly how well it looked. |

Nice macro image. Even shaded you did a good job. As I look at the cross-eyed view, with the leaves under the log, I shift my view to the parallel view and the leaves jump out above the log and it's almost as interesting, but the little flowers below the leaves are wrong. Do the roots look bloody? |

The monochrome background and rusted truck does give it a somber affect. Boy! there is a lot of things that are hard to look at as far as the 3D goes. I don't know what went wrong, but the radiator of the truck seems way out to far in front of the cab. And the back of the cab seems to be behind parts of the background. Those background things should appear way behind the cab. There is this funny light image in the Left view around the driver side window post that really distracts. Forgive me for being so critical, the 2D image has a lot of impact but the 3D image suffers form several 3D issues. |

Great image. SPM does a real good job with it's mirror effect. I liked the original image of just one set of butter flies as well. |

Yes, that is ORANGE! It looks like someone has really cared for the car. I can remember when such a car would have been new and owned by a family. It's missing the chrome Moon hubcaps I used to see on these cars. Nice image. |

Interesting view of the rice fields and the farmer, well balanced and colorful. The image would be rather hard to understood without your explanation of the rice fields, farmer and compost. |
