I just saw this image. Did you think of placing members of a rowing crew team in place of the women you have on the escalator? There is plenty of room for their oars. |

There's so little left for me to say except, "Wow!" I believe you have duplicated the background before. As a result, I have been looking at my images to see if I have a background that would benefit from duplication. I have not found anything that would duplicate as well as this. You deserve another, "Wow!" |

I agree with everyone that the pastel colors of this late evening are powerful in their subtlety. This is another scene I would love to walk into. My camera club has "competitions" in which a judge critiques our photos. To a person, judges do not like bright objects on the edge of photos that draw a viewer's eye away from the main focus. They must confer on this point because many judges say that before we submit a photo we should let our eye take a walk around the edge of the image. I'm afraid they have convinced me after all these years.

I took your suggestion and made the magician a little taller for my camera club's competition. Thank you. |

Again, you have read my mind. It was a lot of fun bending and twisting the cards. Label each layer or go crazy when you revisit! Posted: 03/16/2026 17:26:52 |

I think it's the young lady's expression that dominates this composite. I'm wondering if a little color in her eyes might enhance the stare as much as the color in the dress adds three-dimensionality. Since the crystal balls show some light, would shadows on the wall emphasize their floating? You know how much I like shadows. I learned a trick about hair. Use the eyedropper tool to sample the hair color and then use a VERY small brush to draw strands of hair on another layer. It works wonders. |

The foreground is beautifully rendered in pink and blue pastels, and the fragility of the sailboat (all sailboats that size communicate fragility) helps to accentuate the serenity of the moment. The 3 birds balance the image beautifully with their diagonal. What an incredibly peaceful scene. I'm afraid that, for me, the waves spoil the soft impact of the tranquility you have worked so hard to perfect. |
