41 Jan 26 Reply Thank you so much for taking the time to explain your technique. I have experimented with some of what you do, but my mistake is in accepting failure. The best message you gave me is to persevere. Thank you for the pat on the back. I will keep trying.

I look forward to seeing more of your wonderful imaginative composites.

41 Jan 26 Comment Congratulations on the sale of your composite. All of your patience and hard work certainly paid off. It deserves to be displayed more than once a year at the fair. Jan 15th
41 Jan 26 Comment Nadia, Every month, I visit Group 41 so I can see you imagination at work. My one question is what magic do you use to get the dream-like atmosphere that appears in so many of your images. Is it possible to share that without divulging a professional secret?

54 Jan 26 Comment Your desaturation creates disequilibrium which heightens the danger evident in the surfer's "foolish" attempt. Personally, I prefer that the surfer remains in shadow. To lighten him lessens the mystery that is inherent in so many shadows. Jan 20th
54 Jan 26 Comment I agree with everyone about the flower in the bottle. It IS well rendered. However, you probably saw this coming, I have a different perspective on the woman looking at the bottle. I feel that the woman is looking past the bottle. I did a poor job of using Photoshop to move her eyes, but I think they appear to be looking at the bottle rather than past the bottle. I feel this does not diminish the poignancy that Peggy mentions. Your composite has certainly drawn a lot of input which, I feel, is testimony to the fine quality of your work. Jan 20th
54 Jan 26 Reply I agree with you about the elements touching the ground. Thank you for your observation. I also agree with you about AI. Jan 16th
54 Jan 26 Reply My wife and I were in Bilbao this past October and visited the Guggenheim Museum which was near the top of my "bucket list." I was thrilled by Gehry's imagination. Jan 16th
54 Jan 26 Reply I may not have mentioned that I am a retired high school English teacher. Jan 14th
54 Jan 26 Reply George Bernard Shaw agrees with your last sentence. It's hard not to. Jan 14th
54 Jan 26 Reply Thank you for your comments. I'm happy you appreciate the satire and also my "fine room settings." Jan 13th
54 Jan 26 Reply Steve Jobs is credited with saying that "simplicity is the ultimate sophistication." I agree to a point, but I think subtlety is the ultimate sophistication. The danger inherent in AI is its subtlety. Coincidently, I read an article in the NYTimes this morning that was a discussion between two artists who were both fooled by different AI images on Instagram. They lamented the fact that if they could be fooled people who were not artists could more easily be fooled. I wonder where "less is more" fits into my definition of "ultimate sophistication?" Thanks for your feedback. Jan 13th
54 Jan 26 Comment I believe that Australia is just beginning summer while those of us in the U.S. are 3 weeks into winter. Your image is a burst of spring that we need in the northeast U.S. as the temperature finally got above freezing and some of the snow is melting at last. Your burst of spring is truly a burst emanating from the center of your composite with an explosion of color. Even your metallic peacock is welcomed. What a refreshing sight after seeing snow for the last few weeks. Jan 8th
54 Jan 26 Comment Your swirls, as Kirsti says, are pure magic. The woman coming out of the bottle is not static as the owl with the staring eyes is, and she moves rhythmically with the swirls giving motion to the image. Your choice of colors balance each other beautifully. In addition, given your title, the second iteration is more provocative. Well dome. Jan 5th
