Thank you for such a complimentary critique. You have voiced what began to incubate when I first saw the condemned house. I'm happy it all worked. |

You have words in your observation that I find very complimentary: "narrative"; "unique"; and "intriguing". This is what I have in mind when I sit down in front of my (many) folders of images to see what composite emerges. |

As you suggest sensing one's doppelganger is more suspenseful than actually seeing it. The same is true for seeing a shadow and not the person who casts it. Thank you for those observations. |

After your and Peggy's concerns about the light on the lawn, I'll revisit the light after I look at similar lighting situations. With my tongue firmly planted in my cheek, how believable must the shadow of a doppelgänger be ? |

If I ever found myself in a chaotic situation, I would want you with me. You have a way of making sense out of the combination of movement, vibrations, and color coming into contact with one another. Google "Wynwood Walls" if you've never seen the art there. It's an outdoor graffiti museum. You could easily contribute if spray paint were your medium. |

I've never been compared to Alfred Hitchcock before. You made my day. |

Your landscape is, as usual, attention getting and welcoming. Who wouldn't want to look inside that house. In addition, the tree provides strong balance that would be lacking if the presence if the tree were not there. I would like to make a suggestion or 2 about the young lady. You have created a wonderfully rough terrain, but the lady is bare footed. Doesn't that hurt? I feel the large yellow bouquet in the lady's right hand draws the reader's attention away from the rest of the image. The softer bouquet in her left hand is sufficient, I believe. In any case, your use of filters and other tools has created a marvelous composite. |

The gate, man, and fox make an intriguing composition. However, I would make a couple of changes to satisfy your desire to communicate a threat. I would break a photographic rule and enlarge the fox and put only his head and shoulder emerging from the lower left of the image. Bigger might communicate more danger. Next, make the gate lower to the ground and the man smaller. Again, size and threat go hand in hand. Finally, keep the steps on the gate but make the background less distracting. You really have a lot of potential here. |
