You have created a wonderful illusion of suspension in midair, and the use of NYC is masterful. The twisting cubes work beautifully to reinforce the illusion of height. Take a look at my entry in Group 54 for this month. I have a very similar idea, but I chose globes instead of cubes, a desert instead of a large city, and a low angle instead of a view from above. One quiet scene, one frightening scene. As far as the birds in the distance of your image are concerned, I know you like birds, but they tend to draw the eye away from the dramatic tension of the scene you have created. This is really a powerful image. (Parenthetically, please look at how I chose to use cubes in Group 54's February 2025 entry. No need to comment on either of my images. Just a reference to a couple of coincidences.) |

Thanks for your advice. Looking at the image with fresh eyes, I think the dunes could use more shadows. |

I think Elon Musk would like this in his Space X office. It is definitely other worldly. I'm not familiar with some of the software you used, so I can't really follow your description of what steps did what, but they worked! In addition, the strong diagonal from bottom left to top right tie everything together well, and the beams at top and bottom add to that balance. Nice work. |

This is a change from your blending of different elements to create peaceful, welcoming scenes. The fact that the eye of the bull is in color when so much around it is in black and white, combined with the fact that the eye is disturbingly off center increases the morbidness of the composite. Personally, I think the hand with about 50% opacity would add to the darkness you're after. Well done. |

You have really captured the motion of the waves and the flying pelicans with your mixture of focus and blur. The composite seems to be a snapshot taken from a moving boat. Black and white is a good choice to communicate the consistency of the motion. I almost got seasick. :) |

You have the height of a large American city in the skyscrapers, the heat of Miami in the rippling reflection, the flora of the tropics with the palm trees, the compression of space in the window frames in the foreground, and the pace of a large city with the vibrant blue and green. All of this is woven together in a way that the final composite is easy on the eye. Nice work. |
