I hope you get to see rural North Carolina. You'll have to get away from the large cities to enjoy the rural south. Enjoy your family. |

Whoever built Stonehenge moved all of those stones. Surely you can move one! |

Stonehenge is one of my favorite places on the planet. It is mystical even with all of the other tourists (which you skillfully eliminated). The ring of light you have placed in Stonehenge is so meaningful that, personally, I find the beam of light distracting. I might have moved the heel stone closer and given IT a ring of light to show the connection. I hope Stonehenge's mystery remains a mystery. It's the romantic in me. |

I believe I mentioned before that I am originally from South Carolina and this scene is quite common: the high grass, the old barn, the disabled tractor. This scene is at the same time realistic and romantic. I would leave the tractor and eliminate the girl. I feel the girl detracts from that lovely old tree. I look for scenes like this to photograph in northern New Jersey where I now live, but there's little romance is such a crowded NYC suburban area. This is another omage that brings back fond memories for me. |

So many positive comments have been shared that there's little room for me to add anything except that I agree with all of them. The fun you had in creating this image is evident in the final product. Spoiler Alert: my July selection is similar but different. A bit of a tease, I guess. |

This is such a peaceful landscape--mountains, balloon, & moon. Everything works together so well to attract a viewer's attention. I like Peggy's addition of stars. I would also consider adding some atmospheric haze to make everything a little less sharp as it would be in such an expansive scene. |

Viewing this image makes me seasick and that's a GOOD thing. I really get the feeling that I'm on a boat among the waves you have depicted so well that surround the ferry that I'm in. I don't object to the green as it is part of a complete image that works so well. Nice work! |

I used Nik Software's Silver Efex Pro 3. There are a lot of sliders and presets to choose from. I just kept going until I found the match I liked. My goal, indeed, was, as you say, to let the light define the structure. |

Thank you for your feedback. Nik Software's Silver Efex helped me with the tonal range. In order to draw the viewer's gaze up the stairs, I put the man where he is. I tried several people to accomplish my purpose, and this unsuspecting man got the job. |

Thanks for the visit. I always appreciate your comments. I don't remember exactly where I was when I took the picture, but I do remember how absolutely the whole mosque is. |
