I apologize for being so late to respond. There's little to add to the feedback above except that my first impulse was what Fran suggested. Camera club judges love to see beautiful flowers in front of a busy background. It validates their existence. |

Steven Jobs is said, "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication." Half a century before Jobs, Mies van der Rohe, a German architect, said, "Less is more." You have proved them both right. |

Welcome to the group, Gwen. I'm not usually this late in responding, and now there's little left to say. I look forward to seeing more of your work. |

I never liked Lychees, but I do like what you've done to them! There's little left to say except that I like the red top, too. Quite creative. |

I'm late to the party. It seems that the feedback for your Shadow Vases are quite beneficial. There's little I can add. |

Jan, Thank you for your comments. I agree about the dark edge of the glass next to the foot and to the shield. I placed a, perhaps too subtle, glare next to the foot and to the shield. I hope it can be seen here. |

Fran, I'll take the Monty Python reference as a compliment. I know he's extremely popular, but I've never seen any Monty Python films. |

I very much enjoy Magritte's Yin to Dali's Yang. As for making the fish move, then I would have to make the ballerina move as well. You know I'm a "less is more" proponent. :) |

As the title suggests, it's a reverie. A lot of dreams don't have connections. I was hoping to create a surrealistic image. There doesn't seem to be a connection among the images in S. Dali's "Persistence of Memory" (below). |

I enjoy your composites with waves. You do a very good job of creating beach scenes that begin as reality. I took the liberty of replacing the bird with a man looking out to sea and changing the B & W to color. I feel that color brings more life to the splash against the rock, and to answer your questions about the bird, I feel it really doesn't add much. |

You have created a wonderful tongue-in-cheek composite. The teacher(s), though too close to the edge, is/are a not-so-subtle depiction of a classroom teacher. I feel that the two men are necessary as a teacher must have students. In addition, B & W is perfect for this spoof. You do seem to think outside the box. Well done. |

Everything you have done to this picture has created a sweet, charming composite. My only suggestion is to remove the sheep. It's too realistic for this delightful image. |

What a bright harbinger of spring! Never have we needed spring more! The change of color in the fence helps to bring out the bright colors of the 2 flowers even though one is on the way out. The green grass is another reminder of spring. Personally, I would eliminate the dead flower. |

Instead of finding dirty socks, you found ET. He not only phones home, he stowed away to get there. You have created a subtle, humorous image. I'm curious to know, if you used a B&W adjustment layer, what the image would look like if you added color only to the frog. It might turn from humorous to spooky. |
