18 Jun 17 Comment Mike, I am in Group 21 and was browsing different groups. Your dog emerging from Davinci III is a very effective composite. I have been working on composites and would like to share two techniques I've learned. Gaussian blur makes shadows more realistic. Experiment with intensity after you've created the shadow with the method you describe above. A touch of Gaussian blur would also help th dog. I feel it's a little too sharp. Try a combination of opacity and blur. Alan Jun 11th

21 Jun 17 Reply Thank you for your feedback. My goal was to have the tolerance include 4 religious groups: Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, and Christianity. Jun 21st
21 Jun 17 Comment These buildings beg to be photographed. Brian's word "ramshackle" describes them best. I'm not a fan of posterization, even when it is as subtle as your treatment, but I am an HDR enthusiast. This is a wonderful subject for HDR. If you can't get back there to use HDR, try Topaz Adjust on your original shot. It can mimic HDR Jun 19th
21 Jun 17 Comment John, I like your idea of using layer masks to blend the realism within the fantasy. I'm wondering if number 30's foot would be more 3-D if number 20's body were a little more fantasized leaving his arms, head, and the top of the number 20 real. What if number 30's shooting hand were blurred and the ball were totally revealed as real? This composite puts the dialogue in the "digital dialogue" as there are many possibilities once one starts using layer masks. Nice work. Jun 16th
21 Jun 17 Comment For my taste, the alien trumpet looks too much like a domestic trumpet. I took the liberty of using the Liquify Filter on your trumpet for a couple of minutes to see what havoc I could wreak. The Liquify Filter has a moderately steep learning curve, but the effort can be worth it. I'm still learning which is obvious from my rendition of the trumpet. Jun 15th
21 Jun 17 Reply Thank you, Brian, for taking the time to give such detailed feedback. Christ the Redeemer takes up so much of the composite because I wanted him to dominate. I see your point, but the Christ monument would have to be smaller and not reach from side to side to prevent stretching it out. I placed the empty chair in the composite in reference to the title, "Welcome," as a gesture to the Muslim man entering the picture and the conversation of the 21st Century. Your explanation for the chair works, too. Again, thank you for putting so much dialogue in Digital Dialogue. Jun 15th
21 Jun 17 Reply Thank you for your kind remarks. To clarify: The seated man is Jewish. In addition, the gentleman with the cane is Muslim, and the young men in orange are Buddhist neophytes. However, religion is the over-arching theme.
