I was trying to feature the reflection but will try your suggestion on other images.
FYI the Zamboni driver at Pettit also did the last winter Olympics. He is a technical artist. |

Tried cropping but I didn't like result. Agree that you stick to color and clone out people. |

Wow, cool. I really like the full histogram range so you can see the cargo net, plane structure members and wiring and conduits. I also like the cargo door frame staying in the picture instead of cropping inside the frame (some will prefer and another view would be cropping to the opening and changing the angle so the frame lines are plumb but I'm thinking the plane doesn't sit straight). My guess is a WW2 DC3 vintage. I won't change anything - the detail tells the story. Salute to the person or WW2 historical group. |

Nice DOF. How about telling the cars, etc. to park elsewhere - ha ha? Now for something I don't know how to do but you may have in one of your develop programs. I'm thinking of blurring the eye clutter on the shore so you have the geese in the foreground and the mountains in the background as elements of interest. Then you could also try cropping of the sky in back and frozen lake in front and get more of a panorama. Then if you want to spend more time you might eliminate the utility poles to emphasize the low horizon clouds. Just my ideas. Oh, are you using a tripod, monopod or higher shutter speed/steady hand? |
