Have to agree it is a strong mono or color image. The image captures action in a single shot, not easy in nature without splashing water. Agree that cropping might add to the pic. |

Agree with deleting the street sign. Not sure about competitions and wonder if cloning out or decreasing sharpness of the buildings in some of the gaps in the trees on the left would help or become too bright and hurt. I really like the three taking you into the pic. |

My choice is the mono but the full shot versus two separate images. I like odd numbers starting at three. I also like some of the results Chuck got popping more detail. Given the subjects I'd think the color version might be a strong "travel" street shot. You find great people subjects. |

I prefer the color but like both. I agree with the others that an eye attracting object might really add to the shot but the trick will be to keep it in scale and not overpowering. Why not try checking out some possiblities from visit to the Milwaukee Gun Club (sailboats, motorboats and gulls) before going back to Porkies to retake. However the retake on a windy day might get some interesting waves. |

Good luck. Enough to get needed 3 needed scores per image. Take it you are above galaxy level. I usual avoid china connections which, when looking at potentials for a while, leaves the India "business groups".
Expect to see a surfer in WACCO Spring. Jeff has a great skater and I'll be looking over my achives for maybe motorcycle and car shots. Good luck there also. Hope to see Joe in also. |

I have been cropping more for competitions however I have gotten negative reaction angling the shot as you suggest. Thanks for thought. |

Nice image. My preference for the left crop is as you have it then about the same on the right. Suggest you also see what Joe and Gerry suggest, Diane seems too tight to me. |

Another great surfing picture Gerry. Usually I like the landscape view but this time I'd go with the portrait. Puts the surfer (for me the prime subject of the image" in the "middle of the action". It would also make a good mag cover. While both have potentials in competition I'd try the vertical first.
Gotta love that lock of hair. |

Great shot and cropping. As for what you did on the white shorts, I'll let the experts debate the editing for PJ exhibitions and you know what you can and can't do for publications. |

I like new perspective. I agree with Gerry's crops to increase emphasis on the "ceremony" while keeping the team in the background. |
