I like the mono better. The color seems to stop me at the front of the picture where the monochrome drags me back up the stream. Great sharpness full depth. Only thought is whether toning down the whiteness at the front just slightly would be good or bad. |

You nailed it again David. Some might not like the hat cropping but that is your choice. When will we see this in PSA print of month? |

Great subject. I'd like to see you try any of the following (alone or in combination) less cropping (show more of tires and car roof), darkening the garage interior (no detail), sepia tone, vignette corners and then playing with contrast focusing on the car. Lot of potential. |

Beautiful shot. Great detail. Only wish is that you could have more detail of the ceiling. |

I like both mono and color. The mono emphsises the railroad and construction work in a mountain area. For me the yellow of the Case frontend loader becomes the focus taking away from the scene. Looks like a bright sunny day, any chance of lightening up parts of the engine for more detail? |

Bruce - Great shot and angle. I usually don't get location - hand holding or on a monopod. Really like Gerry's suggestions. That 400-2.8 looks like a sweet lens with your full frame Canon. No other suggestions. One question did Roldan get the PK? |

Diane - I also like the main image better for PJ competition. Great action, color, crispness and depth of field. Similar for the smaller picture with is more of a classic pose but without the danger that many pj exhibitions seem to want. You could consider offering to the rodeo cropped for a portrait (magazine cover) - gives room for a title above and content info below. Also could the brand be emphasized? |

Gerry - I think it should be ok for PJ sports but the judges will make the final judgement with the scores. I like the three paragliders much better but would go with your version (room for the blue paraglider to be moving to the right). Top crop has some merits. Only thought on Bruce's comment is whether the field colors would dwarf sails. Good luck. |

Surprised at the puck blur at the speed of the shot - I like it. Also like the composition. I have been converting more PJ and nature shots in and entering in mono with the thought of also going to print exhibitions. Something about b&w I like (check out the book 100 Years In Titletown featuring Packer photos by Vern Biever and Jim Biever. I agree with Bruce that the puck makes the difference. Thumbs up. |
