Captured and processed very well. I know you like clear/clean backgrounds for your subjects but in this image you have handled the sticks and twigs in the background well by bringing out the details in the brown and white feathers of the owl. I feel the striping of the feathers being on a diagonal catches the eye and reduces the focus on background branches. Well done. |

You have captured the natural look of the snow well. I like the combination of the white snow against the darker textures in the branches of the tree as it is really quite striking.
As a Floridian I can honestly say the snow can be beautiful but I do not relish the thought of being in it even to photograph. |

Your crop made the tortoise eating the strawberry the star. As Mike said I would darken the background vegetation even more and remove the far right lower corner strawberry with additional darkening. I also feel the white specks in the foreground of the fabric is distracting and could be removed by burning or a black brush. |

I like this image a lot. The wet rocks with all their different shapes, smoothness and the lines white lines running through some of the rocks creating different textures. I definitely feel the waves belong in the image as an indication of how the larger rocks got wet all over. I think your choice of cropping from the original was right on. |

A beautiful landscape. Mike's and Sharon's comments really say it all. I did take Mikes rendition a small step farther and masked the dark trees in the lower left and reduced the shadows somewhat. |

Nice catch of the penguin using a flexible hood. I like the details of the penguin, the sharpness and clarity and that you were able to capture. The glass reflection and the amount of light available through the depth of water are always a challenge and you mastered them well. Mike's rendition helped enhance an already good image and the idea of the vignette would also help center the viewers eye. I know how difficult it is shooting through the glass at a fast moving and unpredictable subject. You did it well. |
