Mike, all I can say is another Masterpiece. The emotions of the two, the colors and the crystal clear details of everything make this image great. I do agree with Pamela that the vertical crop give the birds an added illusion of going up or rising. Can't wait to see others from your trip. |

Polly, I also find the cranes to be too soft or out of focus. The reflections are great and all looking forward add to the image and the little piece behind the center crane distracting. Just out of curiosity I ran your image through Topaz Labs Photo AI - Super Focus and attached the results. |

Love these creatures as well, as they are fun to photograph. I was a little lost at first as well in not noticing it was two otters on the right side. I am going to disagree with Sharon as I feel the mono version is better but believe her suggestion of dodging the face of the lower one would create a nice separation of the two. I could be almost of the same lightness of the left otter. I feel that would make it easier to see there are three. Either way, color or mono they are definitely cute. |

Really like your choice for Mono. The feather details are great, wind blown feathers a bonus as it provides more detail over the entire body. The eye is sharp as the sun lights up the underside of the egrets head. I have s slight concern with the horizontal line from water to black background around the head and between the legs are rough in some spots. Being that it is not edited for nature it is an easy fix. I believe it to be a sure winner. |
