I have to agree with Alan. The texture of the image looks like you tried HDR - Grunge image. Looks too artifical. |

Wonderful image. Settings seem perfect - great colors in the ice, ship and sky. Nothing was blown out and that little red on the ship enhances the image. People at the end of the docking area give a sense of perspective and the pier creates a nice diagonal.
Be honest - your original intent was the lighthouse at pier's end.
Well done - no suggestions.

Very well done image. Great quality in colors, sharpness, tonality and action. Background is perfect and muted nicely highlighting the birds. I would do nothing with this image. |

My thoughts on this image are those of what Alan did. I would like to also suggest a small crop from the top to get rid of the bright spot and some distracting background. |

Nice image and the B&W works well. All is sharp, clear and this is a great composition. |

Yes it was 1/100 of a second (not a typo). As I said the sun was out and all settings set for bright sun - as the Bird dove into the underbrush for the fish the sun disappeared behind a heavy cloud. Time element was the fastest and easiest way to make a quick adjustment and capture the image. |

Another wonderful image. Not such a fan for the white backgrounds but it certainly helped nail it in this image. Great detail and a comical expression on the Blue Heron add to this image. Well done. |

Wonderful image. Colors work well together, the clarity of the droplet, and the star burst make this an amazing composition. Well done. |

Wonderful shot. Eyes are sharp, clear and intent. The twigs above and around the head don't bother me as it is part of nature. My only small nit pick is there is a little lack of definition in the feathers in the lower white portion where it meets the brown body feathers. Other than that I wouldnt change a thing. |

Lisa, I am not much of a landscape person but what Sharon says makes a lot of sense. I thought your second version that was more of a pano was much better but I do feel it was a little flat as well. I sometimes find that a simple/slight adjustment in the levels sliders help quite a bit. |

Nice shot. Some of the others have mentioned about removing branches around the head. I feel that it depends on your intent of usage such as nature competition. I generally keep my ISO somewhere around 640 to 800 when trying for the BIF. It usually allows for a higher shutter speed that is needed for the stop action.
You have some great clarity and tones in most every part of the young eagle. Patience is the key and I often say to my wife that I like staying in on spot observing and let nature come to me. |

Not sure how well it would do for International Competition but here are my observations. I have to agree the the light intensity/pop needs to be equalized. There are areas of brighter whites and purple/lavenders really pop and stand out and I feel that all three flowers should be the same. Great detail and clarity on all three very pretty and delicate flowers. |
