Nice lighting and image. My thoughts are along the lines of Grahams. I think you need to shoot below the branches id possible. If you moved forward and shot from a lower angle I think the shot would have been perfect. But then you would loose that wonderful tree on the left. Catch 22. |

Nice image. Again the comment on the flash. You should try defusing the flash or bouncing it off the ceiling if possible to avoid the harsh background shadows and the glare of the forehead and face. You would also get the same bright colors and details by doing this. You could also take down the flash intensity in the camera settings as well. |

Nice frosty image. The blue adds to the coolness of the image. Great detail. It reminds me of shots from the space station of mountain ranges in Tibet and Nepal. |

I like what you have tone to this image and also taking it to black and white. In my opinion the image/details are a little too dark. I lessened the darkness in levels and think there is still the mystic look but with a little more detail. |

A little history. Bear 83 is an excellent salmon catcher from an area known as the Jacuzzi. This is an hole just below the falls that bubbles and froths (thus the name). He sets in the hole and when the salmon bump into him he grabs them and turns around and with one step he is out of the hole and eats the fish. I watched him do this 15 to 20 times. His rear end in still in the hole and there are just white frothy bubbles behind. I made the choice to not show this and to concentrate on the wounds and a catch. I did send a similar image to the rangers at Katmai and they did ID him as Bear 83 and said the elbow wound was healed in a month and a half. |

This does have the WOW factor. My eye goes right to the swans eye and its head. You handled those well. I like mikes suggestion of burning in some of the feathers especially on the back area of the swan that is the foreground of the image. There is some definition there but I feel it could be enhanced without loosing the concept of the sun shining on the bird. Nit Pick - does that blue tint on the upper back portion of the beak distract? It is hard to tell if it is sky reflection or part of the editing process.

Like the image. One feels the solitude and a certain mystic in the image. The long exposure give a nice smoothness and velvety texture to the water and background. One small eye catcher on my monitor is that the center foreground rock has a magenta cast in front it and that was not there in the original. I think what Sharon has done enhances the rocks but her sky background doesn't quite fit the mood. |

Like your image as I don't get to see snow that often anymore after being in Florida for the past 40 Plus years. I find it hard knowing how to correct something I have not encountered recently. I do however like how Sharon handles the effects of the snow and the cropping of the image. As for your signature my first thoughts echo those of Mikes in checking the color you are trying to write in. (He did give a pretty good description on how to achieve this. |

Like the image a lot. The original one or the last one (Lightroom only) appear to be the best for my taste. I feel the other two are way to red/orange for me but I have never been an artsy person. The snow on the ground and tree lets one know it is the winter season and the bunny gives me the warm fuzzy feeling. Nice winter scene and as Sharon said a Holiday Card. |

I think your crop is fine. I believe that some of the sharpness is lost from the smaller original version but if you open that image up it becomes less sharp as well. It is hard to take something that small and blow it up to the point you did and keep all the sharpness. I like the colors as they work well together and the center triangle looks like an old hound dog face and ears. |

Another great image under extreme conditions. I am torn though. I like more definition in images (but weather conditions did not permit it for this one) and is there enough definition from the wing tips, tail feathers and head spots to make the owl defined enough. Should the eyes be enhanced more to bring a focal point into view? I do believe that the fence post need to stay since the do show the heavy snow. |
