52 Dec 18 Reply Mike I debated about the feather as well and decided to leave it there so I could enter it in Nature Competitions. As a side note Friday night it took first place in our camera club nature division competition. Dec 23rd
52 Dec 18 Reply I chose the tight crop just to create the diagonal that is there and that is why more of the neck is not showing. I was also looking for something different. As you must realize after many images posted I am a very close up person with my images. Dec 23rd
52 Dec 18 Comment A fantastic image with all the layers, colors, tonality and lines that lead one into the image. I can not make any suggestions on improvement - I think this is definitely a keeper as is. Dec 23rd
52 Dec 18 Comment I like this almost monochromatic image with the yellow leaf and the soft muted background of yellow. I think the brown spots and decay on the leaf indicate the falls end is near and winter is coming. The diagonal of the stem leading to the leaf is perfect as are the lighter areas before the stem and after the leaf on the right helping create that visual diagonal. I also think a tad more brightness on the leaf would help. Dec 23rd
52 Dec 18 Comment Wonderful image and you handled the shooting of white birds well. There are no hot spots that so often appear in these images and fine detail in all the whites. The back lit wing is great as are the water droplets of the egret taking off.As Mike said the only improvement would have been with more of the chaser's head showing but you take what nature give you. 52 Dec 18 Comment I love the pose so regal and majestic. The look on the face, the stance and the background are captured well but as the others have said it looks a bit soft. I also noticed on my monitor at least that there appears to be a red / magenta tint in the shoulder / belly region. Dec 23rd
52 Dec 18 Comment I am also a member of the CRS club. I still like this image a lot even with the second viewing of it. Same comment that if feel it is a little flat and could us a touch more pop. Dec 23rd
52 Dec 18 Comment Wonderful image as presented. Great colors and tonality and it all works well together. As for the lighter spot several had mentioned I feel it is natural and the morning sun creeping in. A great job on a HDR image and making nature look natural. Dec 23rd
