I like this image a lot. Especially since my father was a salesman for Pillsbury for many many years. I tried playing with the red haze around the word a bit but nothing works well and by cutting down on the red hue it still left a white haze that didn't look well at all. The image is tack sharp, the reflection is super and my only concern would be the lower right corner (wall ???). I looked at different way to crop it out and none seemed to keep the integrity of the image. Maybe you might consider cloning some more of the river in that spot. |

I think I have to agree with Alan in this situation that the color version is better and brings out more detail on the bats and the contrasting branch. If you keep it color than maybe clone out the very black area in the lower left in the image. I also think that flipping the image horizontally seems to add more pleasing visual lines. |

Wonderful image. Rocks and ocean work well together leading you into the sunrise and blue sky. The curvature of the earth make for more interest. A small nit. Under the larger cloud formation there appears to be a boat on the horizon. You might consider removing it to keep the symmetry of the curving horizon. |

Wonderful image. I love the clarity and sharpness of the heads with some great definition in the mandibles and segmented antennae. They really seem to be a mirror image of each other. I like the sharp clear definition of the center of the image and how it seems to fade as you look farther down their bodies toward the corners. |

Wonderful image. I like the wing position on the downward stroke. You have also captured the great coloration of the wings including the reddish spot on the shoulder. I too first noticed the halo along the top but am not sure on how to handle that. |

Beautiful image. Your rework is much better. Especially taking the dead area of the top of the flower. This image is unusual in that it gives the viewer a glimpse of both the top sides of the wing and also the underside of the wing. Both are very sharp. My only concern is the loss of antennae on the butterfly and also the head definition on the right because of the very dark background there. |

Wonderful image. I like the shape the two bodies form here and the colors and patterns of their bodies are exciting. The colors of the insects are also different but tend to blend well together and the background. As for the wings one knows they are there and are not sharp but do not distract from the main focus of the images shape or coloration. Good spur of the moment shot. |

I find insects to be one of the hardest things to photograph and get it all tack sharp because of the depth of field is so small when trying to magnify the little things. The bud and legs are tack sharp, crop and angle of rotation are great and then then it starts getting softer. I feel the eyes are soft enough where they distract from the overall image. The wings on the right side of the dragonfly have also lost its crispness because of the distance from your focal point. I think your colors of the bud and dragonfly work well together with the light green background. |
