49 Jul 18 Comment I think you have a wonderful image here to work with. I have to agree with Alan and his assessments.
I reworked the image a bit to see if it was more of your intended scene. First I used the dehaze slider about halfway to the right, then corrected some of the midtone colors in levels to add more pop to the background, adjusted the yellow and green hues and reduced some of the foreground shadows.
Your thoughts?

49 Jul 18 Comment Nice capture. There are ways to remove the fish eyeing effects in the image but your capture it works well as it sort of frames the walkway beneath the roller coaster adding emphasis to it. Nice blurring of motion as the roller coaster whizzes by. Colors and tones are good as well. Jul 22nd
49 Jul 18 Comment I too felt the image should be straightened, and mote contrast added. I am also bothered and distracted by the tall tree branched in the right corner of the image. Perhaps the crop that Graham did would help. Jul 22nd
49 Jul 18 Comment Great detail in the mountains that just seem to roll on forever. and then there is the suggestion of more mountains beyond that. Two minor critiques. It seems to me that the foreground trees could have a little yellow removed (Hue/Saturation sliders)and I feel the foreground clouds look a little too HDRish in this image. Other wise a great capture. Jul 22nd
49 Jul 18 Comment Great capture especially with the iPhone. Great detail and colors in the presentation. It is amazing how each thread has such detail. Nice work. Jul 22nd

52 Jul 18 Comment Mike, I like the re-work you did much better than the original image presented. There is a certain mystic created by the image that also invites the viewer to sit down on the bench and see what is next. Your second version adds more detail to the image between the bench, rock foreground and lake that is very tempting and inviting to the eye. You are being pulled in but at the same time are being restricted by the rocks before you. The sunset is well captured as well. Jul 22nd
52 Jul 18 Comment Like the bee and the gathered pollen - very sharp. I feel the pinks on the flower are somewhat blown out creation an un-natural look. I believe the others are right on cutting down the luminance on the pink and magenta and that would also cure the purple outline that is around the pedals of the flower. Jul 22nd
52 Jul 18 Comment After reading all the comments and different descriptions as presented I have to say that the one that is labeled "Original 1" is a far superior image. It is crisp and sharp. I do feel that the head area is a slightly too yellow but that can be created by the wings in flight as the sun appears to be from a more overhead direction as demonstrated by the light on the back wing. 52 Jul 18 Comment Great job. I like the texturing of the flower in your re-do. The image really pops and your eyes focus from the reddish center out. I do think I would tone down the two bright spots on the top right especially. It (they) seem to compete for the eyes attention distracting from such a wonderful image. Jul 22nd
52 Jul 18 Comment I too believe that the trees and clouds look better in the original image (could reduce shadow areas a bit on the left side). Love the stair effect in the cascading water. As presented I feel the image could use a little more pop and don't feel that the cropping out of the rocks on the right as Lisa did enhances the image. I like how those rocks seem to circle around and bring your eye back to the stepped falls. Jul 22nd
52 Jul 18 Comment Nice capture. My initial thoughts were the bird was a little dark and shadows needed to be reduced. Your second rendition is much better making the bird lighter and adding a little more pop. Also as someone mentioned it is refreshing to see a hummingbird without a bright flower plopped right in the middle of the image. Jul 22nd
