I think Cora made some good points in her comments but as Alan said the partial and missing feet do not bother me. I think in the future when darkening items(sky) a little mote care needs to be taken to even things out. Tallest building on left has a eye sore whiter area in the sky as well as the area between the two buildings. I might also consider cropping just below the busy fire escapes and making the image a horizontal format. It still keeps that wonderful subject. |

Great attempt. I have never tried stacking images - maybe some day. I find the majority of the image very sharp and detailed. I am a little troubled with the center portion however. I think the center of the yellow area a little soft and lacks the pop of the rest of the image. Also the center of the yellow area (filaments?) some seem blown out a bit and also not as sharp - especially the longer ones.
At a macro class I was told that the center of flowers are always the hardest to make sharp and bright. I was suggested to use a hand held bright flash light to help even out the lighting and capture the detail. Not sure if this would work with stacking though. |

What a beautiful image. I have two minor suggestions. I would increase the mid-tone levels a small amount to make this pop a bit more. Secondly there is a red dot in the center horizon. I would remove that and the fence that is visible on the horizon. |

Great silhouette. I do have to admit that I prefer the tree in the original image as the cypress tree appears to be a darker quality and the presented version of the tree is a little too light for me.
As a bird person the cormorant was one of the first things I noticed.
There is also a speck (buoy?) to the left of the lower right branch you may want to consider removing. |

Wonderful image. I have to agree that the snow on my monitor looks almost blown out especially the clumping(s) on the left side. I agree with the sharpening of the beak and eye areas even though the eye is shut. This image does invoke the sense of spring with the robin and the buds coming out on the tree's branches. Poor Mr Robin is also all puffed up to embrace the cold of the situation.
I think that Mike might be on to something with the softening of all the branches and snow leaving only the robin in it's full color. Entirely changes the mood and takes care of any perceived snow problems. |

I tried to just do the chick with the eye and there was not really enough to work with. I also lessened the blue in the sky and it appears to work better. See reply to Mike for image. |

I did tone down the blue a bit in the attached. |

Great shot! My initial thoughts on this image were to lighten and brighten the eye area bit, also to remove some of the under wing shadows/dullness and lighten the fish to show more details. Mike hit all of these areas in his tweaking of your image.
For a landscape guru you did a great wildlife capture. |

This is a very interesting image with a great concept of including the empty seed globe with the full one. I have to agree that it is a little flat to my eye. I tried adjusting the mid-tones in levels and believe that is a simple way to make this image pop more. You have a lot of great detail in this image. |

Like this a lot. I do not notice the yellow tint that you were talking about. I think that the sun appearing to come from two different directions as Mike mentioned is a matter of perspective of the sunlight on the tree placement (larger tree in front and those farther back on the rear shore line).
Reflections are captured beautifully. The only thing that catches my eye is the slight haze / fog in the background mountains but yet it doesn't show in the reflection. |

Wonderful image. The frontal blur of leaves does not bother me as it is part of the rookery. I like the separation of the bird family and the background. Great detail and clarity in the birds. You know me and my feelings of white birds. I would like to see a little more detail brought out on two chicks backs (left and center)if it is at all possible. Enlarged it seems to be there and just has to be enhanced. |

I believe that is a piece of the fish they were consuming. |

After posting this image I found that it had a ghosting outline of the chick with the eye in it's mouth. I used the healing brush and reduced levels a bit to try and remove it.
I honestly never noticed in in my original. Hope this is better. |
