49 Jan 18 Comment I think a wise choice was made in making this a B&W. My only suggestion would be to add more contrast as the others have suggested.

I also played with your original a bit. I adjusted levels (the center slider to the right. Bumped up the contrast a bit. In hue and saturation I increased the reds. And then cropped.

49 Jan 18 Comment I like this image even with the people.
But in Photoshop you can remove the people easily. Use your lasso tool and select the area. Then go to edit and click on fill. Another box will pop up. Make sure the content box says CONTENT AWARE (from a drop down menu). Then click OK and watch the magic. I did it quick and the fill was a little blurry so I cloned in a few areas with shrubs. This was a very quick job just to show what and how it is done. I also removed the can od soda on the left side of the rock.

49 Jan 18 Reply I did get several shots of it with the wheels off the ground but my tracking was off and portions of the plane were cut off in each shot. Poor camera and lens planning. Jan 24th
49 Jan 18 Reply This photo was taken in the heat of the day around noon. We didn't have much of a choice in scheduling as this small airfield was about an hour and a half from us. Jan 24th
49 Jan 18 Comment I like this shot. It looks like the coyote is thinking about sniffing the flowers in front of him. I like what Alan did in removing some of the shadow on the coyotes body. I also think the area around the eye could be lightened up a bit to make the eye more prominent. Jan 24th
49 Jan 18 Comment With macro the depth of field is very shallow. When I try to enlarge the image to look at it everything becomes out of focus and not clear. I think you had the right idea for this image between the shades of brown and the snow/frost underneath it creating a nice contrast. Jan 24th
49 Jan 18 Comment I like the image and I like the story. On my monitor at lease it seems that there are streaks on the dog in the foreground and the third one back. I understand the low light situation and don't know if it is something that can be corrected or should be corrected. Also the hind area if the dog in the foreground seems a little soft. (Again due to the light conditions?) Jan 24th

52 Jan 18 Comment Another wonderful image. The sharpness and clarity of the elk is perfect. You can even see his breath. Your settings were right on for this situation in the morning light. I wouldn't change a thing. Jan 24th
52 Jan 18 Comment Wonderful image. Love the different tones of green in the trees and grass. The snow has been captured well in the foreground as well as the background mountains. Although I have not experienced winter in 40 plus years I almost have the feeling of wanting to be there (almost). Well done. Jan 24th
52 Jan 18 Comment Nice catch! I like the wing position of this Great Blue in flight and the waters light ripples reflecting on the downward stroke of the back wing. Very sharp and good colors. My only area of concern is the line especially in the bottom half of where you added grasses in front of the bird although it is harder to see in the top half and is still noticable. As Sharon said the healing tool would help blend this area of concern. Jan 24th
52 Jan 18 Comment Like how you handled looking deep into a dark forest. The light shining through the center and the log are such an added plus. Wonderful job. Jan 24th
52 Jan 18 Comment Like the frog a lot. You did a great job in your edited version of removing the distracting spots and managing the water colors. It really pops wonderfully. Jan 24th
52 Jan 18 Comment Wonderful Image. I love the spoonbill and the tree it is landing on. Color, tone and sharpness are right on. My only concern is the two different planes of the background trees. I do fins it a little distracting looking at the 2 different shades of green and the 2 different blurs. Jan 24th
