No stacking. Single shot. Do not know how to do stacking but is something I would like to learn. I hear it mentioned a lot. |

First I think there should be more room in front of the boy. Next I think the image / bridge should be straightened. I would the crop a lot of the bottom off showing less of the ditch. I would then decrease the shadows and increase the mid-tone levels. See attached. |

I believe you made a wise choice with the B&W. The image is sharp and clear and you have captured the wood textures and grains beautifully. You seemed to have chose good settings (although not listed) for this image to show so well. Well done. |

Wonderful image. I like the revised image better. If you cloned out several spots on the water I would also remove the couple that reappear in the revised issue. You know that I have trouble with white birds and the reflective sun / light issue. There are several white areas without definition from the light. The head and shoulder areas to me are too bright and lack the beautiful detail of the rest of the bird. That is just my feelings on trying to photograph white birds though - and one always seems to have those bright white areas someplace. |

I think the work you did with the editing on the copy submitted was good and improved from the original. To me the face is a little soft especially in the eye area. I tried to play a little with the image unsuccessfully but my wife and I thought a horizontal flip added. Also I believe it is a result of editing because it doesn't appear in the original - there is a faint circular spot about 11 o'clock from the front antlers maybe 1 1/4" away. |

I have to agree that this is a wonderful colorful image. I like the sharpness, colors and the reflections in the water. I also see the halo effect around the tree tops, their reflection, and it also is around the two small white clouds and your signature area. I do think that the clouds and moon need to stay. |

Very nice capture. I have spent a lot of time trying to put an ID on this hawk and am not positive yet. I saw the exact same bird in NJ a couple of years ago with a mouse at the base of a tree and didn't have a camera. Any way I like the sharpness and pose a lot and have to agree that I too believe a little more pop would be nice. This might be possible as you suggested that lightening the background. |

Wonderful image. Like the colors and tones of the greens leading one up the stream. The leading line of the log is great and also show the downward slope of the stream as well. This is another winner. |
